Within hours of his arrival he was found beaten and in a coma. His parents paid for his trip to Mexico KNOWING the warnings against going there for spring break. Great job mom and dad. 1. Wouldn't making him work to pay for his own spring break have been the more responsible thing to do? 2. Wouldn't heeding the warnings of increased violence in Mexico have been the more responsible thing to do? No, what's important is what your little baby wanted, he got and now your baby is in bed in a coma. What he wants is his body and mind whole again. You got enough money to give him that?
Its all about mom and dad saving money by buying a cheaper vacation.

Mexican spring break trips are cheaper, the kids have more fun, and its further away from mom and dad.

Florida has gone on a 10 year crusade against fun. Underaged drinking, public nudity, etc were all looked upon as acceptable during spring break. Then the holy rollers started getting upset about it, the local authorities cracked down on it, and the kids went to Mexico.

I was down here in FL in 1997 and 1998 for spring break. It was an entirely different world than the expensive, Christian accepted spring break that goes on down here today.

If Florida wants to become the spring break capital again, they need to take their foot off the brakes.

Beheading does seem to be growing in popularity down Mexico way.

Not sure why and don't care to find out.

Mexico seems about as safe as Iraq was around 2004.
