Editing would imply they removed something from the sound track and removing something like applause if it was picked up by mic is not exactly easy thing to do. Mics are directional as well specifically made to pick up what they want. It most likely was never recorded on the track they used.
Who cares about the applause. What concerns me is that he states forthright that there will be "no surrender"..."no armistice"...but he doesn't even mention his stated 18-month timeline in Afghanistan.
Anything coming from Stink Progress is suspect and incredible.
But thanks for pointing out that the welcome was tepid at best.
