What Happened to the Anti-War Movement?

Under President Obama, it seems that the anti-war movement is much weaker.

What do you think?

It is still going... I saw signs next to the highway for a protest later this month. I believe there is a large protest scheduled to happen in April.

I was never anti-Afghanistan, just Iraq. But I believe I heard Maher say last night troop levels are decreasing by about 40000 since the new year, no complaints here.

No joke. GWB was screwing up majorly and soldiers were dying right and left, but now that BHO is prez everything is shiny as per the news media.

Mass media is lies, manipulation and entertainment, nothing more. Oh yea, and drug commercials.

Cindy Sheehan still protests outside the White House and refers to Obama as a war criminal but the media rarely mentions it.

There are still protests and whatnot going on in my area... they just aren't covered as much anymore. The Ladies in Black still protest once a month, like they have done for years.

Democrats don't care about the war anymore. As long as they are in power.

How are they doing on overturnning the Patriot Act like they said?

Liars.

While we're on the subject, what happened to that coffee party thing? It seems their 5 minutes of being almost significant is over.
Also the South Korean ship that got torpedoed by North Korea? Big international incident gets hushed up. I guess North korea and China can do as they please now.
The Haitian Earthquake. Haiti still wants money but nobody's stepping up to keep contributing. Local groups are still raising money but Hollywood has already moved on.

The vast majority of Hollywood types don't give a rat's ass about anybody but themselves. They support causes like these because it makes them feel good about themselves and it promotes a positive public image for them. Once the novelty wears off, however, they get bored with it and find some other new and shiny object to play with.

Outside of Hollywood, some people actually keep supporting the cause, even after the rest have gotten bored with it.
