COFFEE PARTY MISSION STATEMENT: The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.

I wonder if you can take these people and create a gigantic cage match with the tea baggers.

COFFEE PARTY MINIONHOOD: The Coffee Party Movement mimics the voice of hussein obama who demands to see subjugation of all people and to his every command. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the owner of the people. The One is the messiah of our collective thought, and that we must participate and obey in the socialist process in order to address the challenges that we face as slaves. As sheep and paid volunteers, we will support dear leaders who work toward destructive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct that destruction.

I attended last weeks Coffee Party meeting, it was a much more subdued meeting. Found a general feeling, that since the GOP has lost in it's attempt to prevent a Democratic Administration from signing a HC Reform Law, they are now carefully scripting their rhetoric toward getting involved in the process of moving the process forward. In a sense, starting to address the challenges we face. They will continue to expose those Representatives that fail to do that, but I suspect, the movement will slowly die down. Their objectives are being met and subsequently will feel less inclined to express their concerns. It was pretty clear that the GOP's objective was to prevent a Democratic President signing the bill. They failed that, and the actual contents of the Law are very good for big business, which is,after all, those that the GOP represent.

Its funny that the Coffee Party has vanished from the political radar even faster than anybody had thought it would.

The primary topic at the New Hampshire Coffee Party meeting last weekend was a discussion of the perception that the government did not work for the citizens of the country and that the Coffee Party would, by discussion, figure out where the government was failing and then develop ways of convincing our Representatives to do something about the failure. I pointed out that the government was working with great efficiency supporting the need and goals of a very small fraction of the people that owned the military and energy sectors at great cost to the rest of us. Most agreed with this assessment.

We will have another meeting (there is a possibility that this will only be a social gathering but in our atomized society social meetings are better than nothing) to discuss ways to implement the Health Care Law in a manner that will change it from another financial subsidy to the Insurance companies into a universal health care system. When the party grows into a significant political force we will be able to discuss such failures as our Imperial ambitions in the Middle East and South America.

In no way are these people are any form of “sheeple”. They are speaking their own opinions based on their experiences and observations. They spoke their minds and were listened to by everyone present. It was a very civilized meeting.

I think the Coffee Party has an interesting and bright future. I am certainly going to support it because my Democratic Party has been hijacked by the financiers and corporate entities that own the Republican Party and serve those masters and not the rest of us.

I hope it does stay around, there are indeed substantive discussions, operative word, discussions. I will continue to attend them as long as they are around, they are quite useful. I just seem to have felt the angst abating, and without that, likely less incentive to meet. As the TPers demonstrate, fear and hate, are great motivators.

Does the coffee party embrace the big tent philosophy? Can I get a cappuccino? A return to the coffee house where people with intellectual gifts gathered to discuss issues would be healthy for this country. I doubt we would have any real conflict with T-baggers, who seem only to want to gather on public streets in front of TV cameras screaming epithets and waving badly misspelled signs.

Why do you think the NH meeting was in a Coffee House? They let us use a room in return for our buying coffee. It was really good coffee along with really good discussion. These were not the frightened shout in your face type of people. They were a wide range of folk from young to old worried, but not panicked, about their future.
