I am consider myself a Conservative/Libertarians/Republican. Conservative in my fiscal views, Libertarian in my social views, and Republican in my voting.

I hate the fact that many Republicans practice social conservativism, which is pro-big government and anti-rights. I hate the fact that Libertarians advocate total anarchy, lets be real here, a government is needed. And I hate the fact that many conservatives are closed minded, not even entertaining debate and compromise with our lefter counterparts.

Registered Libertarian, so I'll go with that. I have positions that span just about every party, though.

They put unelectable candidates up on the big tickets. They're not centrist enough, and too idealistic.

Libertarianism is libertarianism. Anarchy is anarchy. Minimal government and maximum individual freedom is not "absense of rule or law".

They (democrats) try to appease too much and do not fight hard enough when backed into a corner (e.g. John Kerry).

You don't need to have absense of rule or law to get yourself into a complete cluster****. Many Libertarians advocate a system similar to The Articles of Confederation. The result is pretty similar to anarchy. Uniformities must exist.

Was he right?

I subscribe to the lesser of the two evils.
