Wow..4 sentences in that link and you have it solved already.
You should call those law enforcement guys and tell them to call off all investigations because in reading 4 sentences you've solved it and know who did it.
And this what i was trying to say all along, hopefully arctichomesteader will now understand my point, because this is only a minor incident but it'll get worse, if these people are not punished.
If anyone remember this topic "News, Soldiers, Cops Form Backbone of Growing Militia Movement." then you will know what i mean

I'll put my money on "tea bagger" types. That is flag waving, "true Americans", yadi, yadi, yada.
I would not call a pipe bomb a "military threat". Heck, we used to make them for fun as a kid and they can only do very limited damage. You do realize that they still sell gunpowder and fertilizer as well as propane? Any idiot knows how to make a very large bomb if they want to do so. Thankfully, most people in our society want to live peacefully and use such items only for the purposes for which they are intended. I will start to get worried if anyone starts using military grade C4 and IEDs. I don't think that will happen.
Bet they cite the "Turner Diaries" and "Going Rouge" as influences on their facebook pages.
