Did you notice when you were watching the video HOW MUCH TIME they did actually have to make that determination? They had PLENTY of time to confirm whether or not the object was a gun or a camera. They just didn't do it.
There were 6 people with guns and RPGs. There were two with cameras. The injured unarmed was not shot at until they were atempting to remove them from the place. 8 people standing together.

Where did you get the information that there were 6 people with guns and RPGs? Do you have a link? I haven't seen that anywhere.
Even my retired military friends are calling this clearly the fault of the military, and each of them to some extent thanks God for not serving with these guys.
I saw the RPGs and AK 47s. I saw one pointed at the gunship.
Show us where. did you see that in the video? Has U.S. government made any statements which validate your statement, or is it just your belief that you saw that?
Late Monday, the United States Central Command, which oversees the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, released the redacted report on the case, which provided some more detail.
The report showed pictures of what it said were machine guns and grenades found near the bodies of those killed. It also stated that the Reuters employees “made no effort to visibly display their status as press or media representatives and their familiar behavior with, and close proximity to, the armed insurgents and their furtive attempts to photograph the coalition ground forces made them appear as hostile combatants to the Apaches that engaged them.”
Why? These guys were armed and one of our patrols was in the area.
Ak's and RPG launcher. Where are you getting the idea they weren't weapons?
Here is the stills
