Advertisements

Home invasions. Rapes. Murders.

All as a result of placing an ad on Craigslist. Here are some links to stories associated with Craigslist:

Craigslist diamond ad leads to deadly home invasion, police say - CNN.com

http://wcco.com/local/katherine.ann.olson.2.461959.html (broken link)

And there are lots of others stories.

Should sites like Craigslist be banned?

Should stupidity be banned? Yes--I'm in favor of that.

Those that have 'walking around sense' can use Craig's List w/o risking life and limb. Given the current lack of good judgment--voracious determination to look for love/connect, etc---I assume the Devil is playing his fiddle and laughing.

Banned? No.
People are responsible for their own choices and the amount of spooky stories pales in comparison to the benign ones.

What next, the newspaper classifieds?

The same thing can happen from placing an ad in the paper.

People need to practice common sense. I have sold things on craigslist, I always meet the person at a coffee shop, or parking lot of a busy supermarket.

NO, freedom of the media-you and the site have the right to do as pleased.

Just take responsibility for it.
