The county is now about 50/50 but the trend is toward liberalism.
More like 25% Republicans, 25% Democrats and 50% independents and those that identify themselves as Republicans or Democrats but vote either way.
The ones that identify themselves as Republicans or Democrats of that 50% can be characterized as those that dislike the lunatics in both the Republican and Democratic party that cater to the extreme special interests. The same can be said of those that indetify as Independents.
These are the people that elect Presidents and most politicians and they are not happy.
I thnik teh polls clearly show what has happened to obama and the independent een ignoring the three losss in the last three stae elections.I have never seen a president with shorter coattails.
Obama was put into office by Independents or middle of the road voters as most elected officials are. I got news for you, they aren't happy. When they pass HCR let the rest of know.

Democrats need to quit worry about the tea folks who are mostly screaming white Republicans anyway. They need to pay more attention to the base voters- women, blacks, gays, Jews, Mexicans and white Catholics.

Would you rather the Republicans decide what is right for you? They will be happy to do so!
