Have you read any part of the Rassmussen poll yet? Really you need to do yourself a favor and read that link just so you could learn a little something.

I for one am sick of the clearly biased, right-wing corporate media in this country.

And I am sick of the obvious left leaning media made up of reporters who over 85% of admit that they are left leaners. I guess you think that all the media is Fox News controlled, huh?

Clearly FOX NEWSis the most trusted. Their numbers continue to rise while the lying left winger liberal news has suffered huge losses in viewership. Only hussein obama's far left liberals watch MSNBC and CNN who's ratings are now lower than the Cartoon Network The Lame Stream News, CBS, NBC and ABC are reporting ratings losses too. The only one growing is FOX NEWS!

The overwhelming amount of liberal journalists by their own admissions are just shills for Republicans?

The amount of bias in the media whether we are talking about news, movies, TV shows or whatever it may be is so overwhelming and blatant you have to be blind not to see it.

Firstly we need to separate the political shows, Beck is not news just like Olberman is not news. They are political commentary/opinion shows. I would certainly hope the average person being polled can understand that.

What we have left is the nightly network news from ABC, NBC, CBS and the news shows from the cable channels. We also have various other outlets such as major newspapers. As outlined in the NPR article about the pew poll which polled journalists themselves those outlets are overwhelmingly staffed by liberals.
When polled the average person watching Fox news believed Iraq was responsible for 9-11. Fox calls itself news on television, but in a court of law calls itself entertainment. The line of journalism has been blurred and your wishful thinking that average people know the difference... the proof is in the pudding. When a sponsor like Monsanto decides if a story ever gets aired, no matter how truthful, there is no such thing as journalism on that network. They serve another master.

Ever notice how engineers think a certain way? It's just the way they're wired. Journalists might similarly be wired toward liberal ideology because they're tasked with communicating a story in terms of humanity. That doesn't mean they aren't also obliged to tell the other side of the story. The NYTimes, oft whined about as liberal heaven, has kept the tradition of telling both sides. They exercise professional discipline that I have never witnessed @ FOX. There's a scripted agenda designed to kiss your hinney long enough for you to be convinced you've got a new best friend. Here's the kicker-- FOX isn't actually conservative. It's a whole other breed that has nothing to do with conservative.

FOX as a network will never be worthy of Lou Dobbs. FOX will never be able to convey the depth of information as The Atlantic because it's not concerned with being fair, truthful, or motivated by the better interests of a nation. FOX inserts it's subjective judgments into everything, unlike Reuters, which goes to pains to stay neutral (very difficult job believe it or not). They're selling yellow journalism at it's lowest form to people obsessed with blaming st elsewhere for their lives. They've dined very well telling people what they think they want to hear, which has nothing to do with the larger reality responsible citizens need to be fully informed about. You know, trivial things like terrorists in afghanistan vs yet another must read story about monica lewinski.

You're angry about a pew statistic? Isn't pew liberal? Liberal Pew is whistleblowing on liberals, and this fits into a conspiracy theory against conservatives? No wonder you're confused!! Were they conspiring, don't you think they'd hide that data?

Have you ever heard of the Heritage foundation publishing any research that's been anything other than flattering towards conservatives and/or libertarians? Have they ever published anything positive about liberals or progressives? Has Rasmussen released a poll that reflects something (anything) negative about conservatives? Ever??? Have you ever read the script of a rasmussen poll and found the questions left you lead around as if a lawyer won't let you answer honestly? Ever been asked a question that had no correct answer possible? Npr readily admits it's reporters are liberal and publishes that honestly. Your complaint is that someone is telling the truth and asks the question no matter how it makes them look?

Perhaps there's something about conservatives that makes them not bother with journalism as a profession? Doesn't pay well enough? Thankless task? Maybe we should force them into it? Social workers and nurses are often liberal minded. We should force conservatives into that thankless job too. The military used to have a high % of conservatives. Shall we have a military quota system that only so many conservatives are allowed??? Only so many conservative farmers allowed? I'm confused about what you're expecting the world ought to be.

LOL...a survey of 1,000 LIKELY voters. This is the problem w/ Rass & others who want to try and skew events/polls to fit what they want/need.

Too funny.

Fox News is not part of the media. So what is it exactly that they do? Sell Easter eggs?
