Republicans are always using scare tactics and the members of their party are always fearful. They've played the terrorist card and the socialism card. The Republicans aren't going to help you. They did nothing after 9/11. They went into Iraq instead of after bin-Ladin. In fact they even closed down air space so his family could leave our country safely after it happened ! They didn't help the people of New Orleans. Now they are trying to scare you with the idea of a fabricated story about death squads in our health care. Do Republicans like being scared ? Do you all sleep with the light on ? How can you keep believing these crazy stories they keep feeding you ? Their lies and fearmongering never end but you seem to always buy into it.
Remember when W would raise the color coded threat level system everytime his ratings dropped ? As long as the Republicans can keep using fear to reel you in, they'll keep doing it.

They don't scare me. Their hate and fear mongering is a vital part of their political agenda. IMHO only the weak minded or those who are so vehemently anti-Obama (just because he IS Obama) will buy into it.

I've come to believe that some people enjoy the chance to be "scared". It creates excitement and allows them to fashion themselves as revolutionaries or as the last line of defense for a threatened way of life. They get to engage in an active political community and make waves. They've made fear fun, it's really quite fascinating. At the heart of it, of course, is something that can turn nasty quite quickly.

I also do not want to throw my head in the sand and believe that our current government is doing anything for my personal safety. I believe that you need to listen to both sides and make up your own mind but not to dismiss everything just because it was said by someone on the opposite side of the Political spectrum. George W. Bush has made some terrible mistakes but that by no mean gives our current president/government the right to make some more.

So the reublicans do the same thing as democrats?

Democrats use fear and tell us repubs are taking away our social security. That they are going to overturn Roe v. Wade. That your boss is evil and I must help you. That you will die if we don't force you onto govt run health care. That the economy will tank if we don't pass this stimulus bill. That the Patriot Act will be used to lock up politicall prisoners. It goes on and on and on and on.

Both sides do it.

And New Orleans was a result of FEMA not working. It had nothing to do with republicans. It didn't work too well under Clinton either. Instead of getting rid of it though everyone just wants to throw more money at it. Like that will make it better. LOLs.

Minds are like parachutes. They don't work unless you open them.- I suggest you libs open yours for a change.

I agree. The majority of rhetoric from Republicans these days is based on fear, paranoia, and conspiracy. It's really exhausting to listen to them. It's all a bunch of hot air.

Do you actually remember Katrina? Bush on vacation. The funny emails being circulated by Michael Brown ( the head of FEMA) Condoleeeezzza Rice shopping for shoes in Manhattan? All this while people were drowning in their homes, babies floating down the streets and the elderly dying horrific deaths in nursing homes. Remember Barbara Bush' ignorant statement about the people relocated to the Astrodome?
"They're probably better off living here, than they were before"
If that had occurred in Kennebunkport you better believe the death toll would have been about five... if any.
Ugh. Don't get me started on Katrina. and the Republicans.

Thank you for pointing out another fine example as to Democratic fear, lies, and total bs.
