Hilarious! A packed house of 7. How pathetic and lame. When will the left learn - manufactured grassroots movements ALWAYS fail, Epically.

Belleville Coffee Party meeting stresses need for rational dialogue - Belleville news - bnd.com (http://www.bnd.com/2010/04/11/1211071/first-coffee-party-meeting-draws.html - broken link)

Quote:
Of the seven people who met midday at Oregon Trail Roasting Co. at 201 W. Main St. in Belleville, only three had a cup of coffee.
Quote:
After the group read the preamble to the U.S. Constitution, they talked about some of their major concerns, including health care, the need for rational dialogue and "recklessly" going after more oil for fuel.
Recklessly? You mean finding independent sources of oil and gas is reckless.

I attended one in Tampa, 15 people I guess. Good discussions, not demonstrations. In order to have discussion, it needs to be limited in number. But having a discussion is a foreign concept to some people.

What did your tiny little discussion get solved? Nothing, that's what I thought. A circle jerk of like minds.

Why all the hostility? These folks don't have the right to gather and discuss? Just because it isn't particularly thrilling or popular?

You kind of miss the point of the Coffee party. They do not pretend that they are the ones that need to solve the problems. They are fully aware that it is the function of our Govt to effect solutions. The meetings are to generate and identify concerns and suggestions of those in the meeting, pass that info along to the coordinators, to work at establishing a Coffee Party consensus of issues to forward to Congress. It is Congress, that would need to work on the solutions.

Maybe you can point out the hostility.. I see people discussing the coffee party and calling them a rousing success.. No hostility involved..
