Truly sad to see people revelling at the fact that our troops are in such a tough situation, just because Obama is now POTUS.

The same "lets' get em over there so they don't come over here" and "we can't cut and run" crowd.

Pathetic.

In your heart of hearts do you really believe all this is because of bell bottom jeans or polyester? Seriously, do you? America is so freaking far from any of those uptight Muslim freedom haters that until 9/11 all this "they hate our freaking guts because of our freedom" crap was a theory in search of a proof. Now we have proof. No, we do not. We know very clearly why we were attacked and none of it has to do with the way we dress or how some of you disrespect our President. A couple of ocean's keep us well isolated from trouble but no, we have to go looking for it in the name of revenge. How is that working for us? It's Obama's war now but you were ready to impeach him when it looked like he might pull us out and disgrace the flag. There is actually something Muslims hate worse than our decadence and it is our ignorance.

WWII was 65 years ago kids.

America is not the same America.

It's high time we figure out that our role has changed, or we will continue to slide towards second nation status.

of course it is obama's war as he is the COMMANDER IN CHIEF. this administration has asked for an INCREASE in military funding.

what the heck is wrong with people? if we don't establish a chain of responsibility we cannot begin to fix a problem. the problem with all long wars is that administrations change and agendas change, but the poor soldiers are just stuck in the middle.

did anyone ever think that they would see the day when a French President would be slamming an American President for foreign policy weakness – and not be joking?

Only the ignorant believe it is not Obama's war now. When the French President looks smarter, has superior commander-in-chief skills than the US President we know we are in trouble.

Yes, it's Obama's war now. Another huge Bush mess for him to clean up.

Do you have any rationalization to offer for why Bush didn't wrap up this war five years ago?

Just the fact that Afghanistan is still a troubling conflict nearly nine years after Bush invaded is a strong indication of massive failure.

not only that, but we are asking for an expansion into pakistan:
US Troops See ‘Expanded Role’ in Pakistan -- News from Antiwar.com

But now, the US troops are taking part in “hold and build” operations in FATA, coordinating the operations of the various Pakistani military and civilian authorities in the region.

The Pentagon is now said to be seeking the creation of a $10 million pool for the “trainers” in the nation, to be used for discretionary “hearts and minds” spending, likely mostly on humanitarian aid projects.

the problem gets bigger and messier by the day.

And you, along with thousands of your right wing pals, would be absolutely burning with rage, screaming that "Obama surrendered!"
