I want to check that box, but I don't get SS or Medicare. What's your point? You do know that you pay into SS? I know it's a farce, but it's still just getting back "your" money.

The military is a giant suck hole jobs program. We need to cut the hell out of the military budget ALONG WITH allot of other things.

Tax cuts are not prudent when we are at war.

That giant sucking hole you say....Is keeping all of us safe!

You didn't answer the question. Tell me where I said "keep all the other crap". You can't because it wasn't said.

I referred the the military as a suck hole because the Pentagon is wasteful and corrupt. It has nothing to do with how soldiers do their job. But I'm sure you'll spin that statement too

Last I looked oversight of the Pentagon is the responsibility of the CIC.

Thank-you for that inflated % OP.

Blogs as you cited/link manipulate their information to satisfy an agenda.

In the estimate that you worship it includes extraneous info to inflate the real number.

Wikipedia has a more current break down/pie chart and attributes military spending as of 2009 at 23% of the budget. There is a real neat colored pie chart on the right that has a very good breakdown that reflects the true state of affairs if you care to click on it or further research it. The pie chart is round and the military is represented with the color red (you have to scroll down the page to the pie chart).

Military budget of the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chill....
