So they dumped tea into Boston Harbor. How does this relate to the "Tea Party" movement of today?

Inquiring minds want to know.

You already figured that out? With only one post (and gawd knows how many previous articles, news shows, etc. showing you) to spoon feed it to you?

Bravo.

thing is, though, any idiot with a microphone can talk about lowering taxes.

the real issues are what services to cut.

one of my biggest taxes is Medicare. Yet I see tea partiers with signs saying, "Don't cut Medicare." I find it puzzling.

BTW, both the modern TEA party and the colonial Tea Party, protested overbearing, oppressive governments.

I know, I know, leftists don't consider today's government "oppressive". But then, they don't even see it as leftist, either.

That's because most of the leftist are on social services and looking for handouts or are still living with mommie and daddy. What they find oppressive is personal responsibilty and self support.
