Cops need to earn my respect, it's not freely given. I've seen too many abusive ones, and know of too many lives lost and destroyed because of thug cops.
I would like to see the cop have to pay personally out of his own wallet though.

Right on about him paying since he messed up. He should have called the ACLU!
Doesn't sound like he is a very good role model for his kids.... I do understand the frustration for the situation. but still...in front of your kids?
