Google, Library of Congress allow access to archived tweets - Apr. 14, 2010

Its not bad enough that the government has collected your tweets, but now you will be able to Google for them..

When/where should it stop?

This is nothing new. Since the Patriot Act started every word you type on every page is archived by NSA.
Problem is finding anything

That was before they got into power. Now it's good.
Shows you the hypocrisy of government, any government.

Bailing out banks and corporations is bad if the other party is doing it but good if your party is doing it.

We're going broke no matter which party is doing it but many don't see that; they can't see past "their party".

You are comparing the archiving of free available internet content to the USA-PATRIOT act - which allows the monitoring of any private communication?

If you don't want it archived, don't tweet it!

Well, if you aren't for the patriot act...then you are with the terrorists.

Are you saying you no longer believe in that nugget of propaganda from the right?

Guess the tin foil hatters have to run for the hills now.

Since I dont tweet maybe you can clarify this.

My understanding is that a tweet is basicly sending out a nessage to peoples emails who choose to receive them, and you have the option to allow the recipients to receive your "tweet" (i.e. email) if you wish as the sender.

If my understanding is true, this is nothing different than sending out what should be private communication between you, and the receiver just like an email should be private, unless you or the receiver divulge the information.

Whats next, archiving of all emails and being able to google for them?

Not entirely. President Obama was maligned during the campaign (as un-American, of course) for having voted against portions of the Patriot Act which would prohibit 'drive-by' intrusions. You know, where the Feds can literally monitor what's going on inside your house, your phone calls, mail, everyday activities - WITHOUT A PROBABLE CAUSE WARRANT. Pretty spectacular, huh?

I certainly agree with you on the remainder of your post, though.
