The average person does not see the effects of overtaxing the "rich" either. The goverment raises taxes by 10% on the "rich" and the average person does not notice that the same rich people are not buying as much furniture, building new homes, buying appliances, going on vacation, going out to eat dinner, starting a new business or expanding an existing one. When people, even the average person, does not have as much money, they spend less of it in the local community.
