Did Americans spit on the servers of fries for just doin' their duty? Did they protest the makers of those fries? Were people arrested over it? No, just a little "name change" for the moment, for some, and it really didn't do any emotional damage to anyone.
Did Americans break into liquor/wine distributor warehouses filled with French wine and dump it? The spilling of French wine in to the gutters didn't really do any emotional damage to anyone.
But feel free to spit on an American soldier who did what his CIC told him to...and then go protest a few American soldier's funerals while you're at it...who fall into the same LOSER category as those who spit on the Vietnam vets. This is what people do with their time? Those who ***** about the cost of the war b/c they can't "afford" it....get a job. Or a second job if you have so much free time on your hands.

There were millions of anti-war protesters (of all ages, races and political persuasions). 99.999999 percent did not spit on anybody. There were a handful of soldiers that claim to have been spit on by a handful of people (so far in interviewing over 500 for a documentary, not one has made any such statement, other then they heard about it).
Those protesting at funerals are right-wing-christians.
Stupid people come in all sizes shapes colours and political leanings. Just as stupid outraged forum posters.
