I've been reading things here & there online,& would like for someone to help me sort it out, help w/ fact checking, if you are so inclined.
Obama only opened offshore drilling 0n March 31st, less than 3 WEEKS before the disaster?? Hmmm... why would he do this, when it went against what those who voted him in wanted?
Why the hell did he refuse help from the Dutch back in APRIL?? Red tape BS? Has there been other offers of outside help refused as well??
And this: John Podesta is also head of George Soros ‘Center for American Progress’ (a socialist organization dedicated to killing capitalism in America and for building according to Soros “A New World Order”)
John Podesta’s brother is the lead lobbyist for British Petroleum, whose services are now in huge demand.Soros was a huge contributor to Obama’s campaign.Soros invested $900 million in Petrobras, the Brazilian government controlled oil company that plans on drilling offshore in Brazil, yet cannot get the deepwater rigs operating in the Gulf
Days after Soros investment, Obama grants $2 billion to Petrobras of U.S. taxpayers dollars to drill offshore in Brazil….the company nets over $15 Billion annually.U.S. drilling companies must do something with their now idled rigs and are planning on moving them off to South America—-to Petrobras which will supply the oil to the U.S. as an Import.
Why do we not see MUCH more coverage on the news? Why is the horrible damage being downplayed, shoved under the rug? I am not a tin-foil hatter, but it just seems like it's impossible that this could have been THIS badly mismanaged!

False: "Mr. Obama said several times during his presidential campaign that he supported expanded offshore drilling. He noted in his State of the Union address in January that weaning the country from imported oil would require “tough decisions about opening new offshore areas for oil and gas development.”'

Was the help needed?
Anyway:
Did the Dutch offer assistance immediately after the Deepwater Horizon exploded?
The State Department says the Dutch government and private businesses offered various types of assistance on April 30, 10 days after the explosion. It included proposals to sell equipment as well as offers of technical advice.
Romania, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Britain made similar offers that same day, according to a summary provided by the State Department. The Netherlands' offer consisted of "state-of-the-art skimming arms made by the Dutch company Koseq," said a statement issued by the Dutch Embassy. The Netherlands also offered to help Louisiana build sand berms intended to keep the oil from washing ashore.
Did the U.S. reject the offers?
On May 5, the State Department issued a statement acknowledging that it had received several offers from countries. "While there is no need right now that the U.S. cannot meet, the U.S. Coast Guard is assessing these offers of assistance to see if there will be something which we will need in the near future," the statement said.
The offer of skimmers was accepted on May 23, when BP purchased three Koseq sweeping arms.
As of June 21, the other Dutch offers were considered "under consideration," and the response team had also accepted aid from Mexico, Canada and Norway.
Personally, I'm extremely disappointed in Obama's response to this disaster. He's just another politician that kisses Big Oil butt. I wouldn't put anything past him. He's going to have a heck of a time getting my vote again.

But still you throw in the little childish insult. This forum is getting ridiculous w/ the rudeness. From now on, I'll simply put those on ignore who insult rather than stick to the subject and the facts.

When you stray from the party, you can expect such attacks.

Well, I sure as heck ain't going to vote Republican. It's just a matter of whether I'll go third party or not.
Unfortunately, the major parties have become so corporatized, just plain bought, and so much alike, voting has come down to who is the lesser of the two evils.
When you stray from the party, you can expect such attacks.
Party first,Party always.
Don't know what "party" you are talking about. I'm an independent who happened to vote for Obama. I see attacks from ALL "sides" & frankly I'm sick of it.
