Wow what a poorly written article... can we say ...run on sentences... his English teachers must be mortified! . Do I really need to look at the content? If the right wants to bash Obama they should get someone more skilled at writing and composing complex thoughts.

The right is not interested in complex thoughts. They are interested in simplistic us-versus-them, black-and-white soundbites and catch-phrases. That's all that works for them...

Question So, who is Mark Steyn and why should we listen to his opinion?

Oh, because he's another spittle-spewing right winger who's apoplectic over an election result.

That makes him a heavy hitter in the field of nuclear diplomacy.

"He is published in newspapers and magazines, and also appears on shows such as those of Rush Limbaugh, Hugh Hewitt and Sean Hannity. Steyn, a Canadian citizen, now resides mainly in New Hampshire in the United States."

Mark Steyn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And he can't even cast a vote, making less political impact than even I can.

Obama's silly paper conatined 47 signatories. There are over 120 countries in the world. Of course the ones who showed up signed on - they are not the ones we needed to worry about in the first place. The entire thing was a photo op for the self-exalted one to get his picure snapped while shaking hands in front of a big blue sign proclaiming "nuclear security". Only thing missing was him waving a piece of paper and shouting "peace in our time".

Only after reviewing the intelligence information presented for that congressional vote.

"You didn't try hard enough to stop me" is a pathetic excuse.

Bush is doomed by history. His campaign of disinformation to manufacture consent for his military conquest will not be taken lightly. It was shockingly similar to LBJ's Tonkin Gulf Resolution that led to escalation in Vietnam and his eventual downfall.

Bush lied us into Iraq.

LBJ lied us into a much wider involvement in Vietnam.

Both were huge bungles and neither turned out to be in the nation's best interest. Both presidents' terms will be forever downgraded by these incidents. Lying the nation into foreign wars is bad policy, no matter who does it or when. The fact that a number of congressmen in the opposite party didn't see these men for liars doesn't lessen the effect of their bad decisions.
