This segment was on Countdown last Monday. It illustrates how Keith Olbermann feels the Bush Administration has repeatedly attempted to overshadow bad publicity (or good Democratic publicity) with strategic threats of terrorism over the past five years.

So, what do you think?

Is it all simply an interesting set of coincidences?

Or incriminating examples of extreme national fear-mongering?

The science of mind control is more advanced than most are willing to admit. Repeated words, phrases, and symbols tax the human mind into submission. That weakened state allows for a manufactured reality to firmly plant itself in the psyche.

In short, yes, this government (as well as the complicit media and corporations) will use whatever means necessary to distract people from truthful clarity.

It's a 24/7 'don't-pay-any-attention-to-that-man-behind-the-curtain' kind of world.

Amen to K. Olbermann for bringing this pattern of fear-mongering to our attention, and thanks to AOYAS for posting the video clip.

I think this is something we should all be aware of. Everyone needs to watch this video, even if you dislike Olbermann, or you support the current administration. It's our duty as Americans to be aware of what is going on in our country and the world, so that we will be better equipped to deal with events that can/will affect us in the future.

After watching this video, I don't know if I should feel disheartened, skeptical, scared, or sickened.

Or, maybe I should feel all of the above...
Thanks for responding!

I, too, think the video clip illustrates an important issue that we all need to take notice of. I realize, though, that the clip is about 15 minutes in length, and some (many?) people don't want to spend that amount of time watching a clip. I admit that when others post loooong videos, I rarely watch more than the first five or so minutes, so I don't blame them for not wanting to watch this 15 minute clip.

On the other hand, there are a lot of right-wingers on this forum that probably choose not to watch this video clip, simply because it's Keith Olbermann reporting....a pundit known to frequently exhibit liberal-bias in his reports. Even though he may be right in this particular case (and I think he is, as I usually do...he's my favorite!), many conservatives and/or Bill O'Reilly/Fox News fans would never admit so.
