The only hope for reform is for it to be done piece meal with legislation.

The GOP will fight that of course and you will support them doing so.

Hell yes we do not want to join the PIIGS. More homework for you.

Here in Northeastern Pennsylvania since the coal is so much more valuable we separate the dirt and rock from the coal in a Menzies Cone.

This process is quite simple, they use magnetite in the water to increase the specific gravity. The coal floats to the top and the debris circulates to the bottom. While this is quite feasible for most of the coal mined you will have some that has so much rock in it that it will never be feasible. You could for example run some very bad coal for a long time and show a profit short term however at some point you're going to have to pay the piper in maintenance fees. If you have not made enough to cover the expenses you go out of business.

We can look to many of these socialists countries and see the same thing happening. They have run the machinery of economics into the ground without any plans to replace or maintain that machinery.

Padcrasher, there's a healthcare assessment done every several years by the EU. It's called "EuroCare." It evaluates the survival rates of cancer patients. The most recent one evaluated over 13 million cancer patients across Europe. Google it and check it out. Here's a preview:

For virtually every type of cancer the 5-year death rate in Europe is about double that of the US. European-style, government-run-healthcare is lousy. Accessable by all, perhaps, but lousy.

Kill joy, hehe.

I liked that one, was kind of sinister sounding.
