Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) claim that the financial reform bill currently being debated in the Senate "actually guarantees future bailouts of Wall Street banks" at the expense of taxpayers is false, according to Politifact.

Its not false.. It not only creates the mechanism to bail out future Wall Street Banks, but also the financial means to do it. What on earth do you think the estimated $50B bankroll is for?
Have you read the bill? It literally calls for taking over these companies IN THE BILL in the event they fail, instead of letting them file BK.
So I guess the lier here is the Huffington Post, or are they too ignorant to actually read the bill where it discusses the take over of these companies? No wonder Huffington has no credibility...
Lying is bread and butter for the GOP. It has been for a while. Come out with a rhetoric, spread it around, get simpletons scared... keep doing it, and it ultimately is accepted as the truth.
And of course, when disproven, the perception is firmly set and people have moved on to... the next issue while continuing to chant. It is this that made Hitler formidable. In his own words (English translation, of course)...
"If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed"
"All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach"
"I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few"
"It is not truth that matters, but victory"
And he also said...
"The great strength of the totalitarian state is that it forces those who fear it to imitate it"

They're liars. McConnell, Boner and all the rest have been lying about HCR, now they're lying about financial reform.
They figure all the Republican/Teabagger wingnut types are too stupid to know the difference anyway.
It is basically creating an equivalent of FDIC. If Republicans are not against FDIC, I don't know about that. Otherwise, it is the same.
Correct.. The FDIC indeed has the authority to take over banks, this is the power to expand into taking over investment brokerage firms and hedge funds..

And the lie is what? Do you even know or do you believe everything you read?
THE WHOLE BILL IS TO AUTHORIZE THE TAKEOVER
