Children and animals aren't the same. We give greater rights and value to human life than to non-human life.
Should it be illegal to film killing a poisonous snake too? How about a mosquito?
Somehow you choose to miss the point.
Crushing is actually stomping on an animal with stilettos until it dies.
It is humans taking delight in torture.
Such people, maybe I'm talking to one, often go on to kill humans because taking pleasure in such things is not normal and it is catering to some of the lowest forms of humanity and encouraging their ugliest impulses.
Watching such 1st amendment videos is not a healthy activity for our society.
Quote:
When they begin to "act out" their abuse trauma, children first target animals. As adults, they find new victims among the most vulnerable--children, partners, and the elderly.
Consider the following facts:
The FBI sees animal cruelty as a predictor of violence against people and considers past animal abuse when profiling serial killers.
National and state studies have established that from 54 to 71 percent of women seeking shelter from abuse reported that their partners had threatened, injured or killed one or more family pets (Anicare Model workshop, Tacoma, 2004. Created in 1999, the AniCare Model of Treatment for Animal Abuse treats people over 17 by bringing abusers and animals together. A companion program treats children.)
In assessing youth at risk of becoming violent, the U.S. Department of Justice stresses a history of animal abuse.
More than 80 percent of family members being treated for child abuse also had abused animals. In two-thirds of these cases, an abusive parent had killed or injured a pet. In one-third of the cases, a child victim continued the cycle of violence by abusing a pet.

No matter how many times you ignore the difference between a human and animal does not mean the difference does not exist. Do you eat meat? Do you know what goes on in slaughterhouses? I guarantee you it's worse than this bizarre animal porn. Also you've made the point that torturing animals makes people more likely to torture and kill humans. The point that you made that people who are violent towards animals are likely to be violent towards people is probably true(they most likely have a predisposition towards violence) is of course completely irrelevant to the point at hand. The real question is whether watching this video MAKES you more likely to kill humans. Any predisposition is of course irrelevant also.
Also if you want people to take you seriously you should grow up a bit and lay off the childish personal attacks.
Animal torture is a prelude to torture of humans-especially children. The same sick mind finds pleasure in both!
That has nothing to do with the decision made in this case. Once again, the decision wasn't about the act of torturing or killing animals. It was about the right to film those acts.

Please refrain from making personal attacks.
I'm sticking to the topic at hand: The Supreme Court made a good decision because it protects free speech. It wasn't about whether or not anyone has a right to torture animals.

Great! Lets add fuel to the sick perverse minds of aspiring child molesters!
A relative of mine is a FBI agent. He investigates child pornography. He becomes physically ill because he has to watch the undercover videos in order to charge the perpetrators. He said he vomited after having to watching a toddler being tortured on a video.
Torture is perverse. If this is your idea of protecting the constitution, it does not provide the right of happiness to some! I don't give a sh*t if it is the right to "film those acts."
Did you read the facts before the Court or the decision?
Are you going to read it, or are you just going to spout off about your FBI relatives?
I read it. Whats your point?
