Remember anytime B.O. opens his mouth he's lying. If he says anything is an option you can best believe he plans to do it. Unless it has anything to do with less taxes and more freedom from government intervention. Then he doesn't.
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama suggested Wednesday that a new value-added tax on Americans is still on the table, seeming to show more openness to the idea than his aides have expressed in recent days.
Before deciding what revenue options are best for dealing with the deficit and the economy, Obama said in an interview with CNBC, "I want to get a better picture of what our options are."
"They should be thanking me for that"! Don't forget to say "thank you for VAT" people!!
Watched Geithner this morning, and he said that the President isn't interested in the VAT. He said they aren't taking anything off the table, because the budget must be balanced, but they aren't leaning towards that option.
Next thing you know, he'll want to nationalize municipal parking meters.
