I don't see how Jon Stewart is any different than MSNBC. To get better ratings they go after Fox News and hope that Fox News, with a much bigger audience, will then talk about them and give them free publicity with people who don't normally watch Stewart's show. I don't know about those of you in the west but where I live Stewart and Colbert used to be on opposite O'Reilly but then Comedy Central moved Stewart and Colbert to 7:00P and 7:30P, right out of prime time. That tells me their shows weren't competitive.
I'm disappointed that O'Reilly took the bait. He successfully, in my opinion, spent a lot of time never mentioning Keith Olbermann's name on his show while Olbermann was going after him constantly to pick a fight so he could gin up his less than stellar ratings. O'Reilly and Goldberg should do the same with Stewart. Ignore him. He's a comedian, for crying out loud. He's on the COMEDY channel. Don't elevate Stewart's stature. Swat the fly by ignoring him.

Stewart is on at 11pm and Colbert 11:30, they run a repeat at 1:30 am and 2 am. Then they run another rerun at 2pm and 2:30 pm, and then the 7pm/7:30 pm rerun which use to be at 8:00/ and 8:30. To think they moved the 3rd rerun of the previous nights show so they don't compete with O'Relly has to be one of the dumbest things I ever heard.

He would never dare challenge a Democratic Party member of the US congress or senate who lumps all the people at the TEA Party events or town hall meetings as terrorists, racists, KKK or Nazis, but he attacks the folks at Fox News, because Stewart is either too cowardly or too partisan to be honest with himself and his audience.

One reason for the generalizing of the left is because 0bama is the de facto leader of the left, there is no leader on the right ATM. 0bama not only remains silent while his elected members call all TEA party members racists, but he takes part by unfairly generalizing them too.

He has gone after the media in general, as shown in the Crossfire piece thats linked. He took shots at Olbermann over some of his comments about Scott Brown. If you even bothered to view the video you would have seen he says he agreed that some of the generalizing about the tea party folk was wrong. What he was taken exception to and what started all of this, was the Fox News people slamming those who were generalizing about the tea party and then also generalizing liberals.
Jon is the perfect ringleader for the Libs. He fits them perfectly. When faced with truth and facts make jokes, say GFY and change the subject. Very immature just like Liberals. Sure, he has funny bits. I myself laugh at him. But him and his devotees won't be laughing last you can believe that.
Ehh, Jon Stewart has an advantage in any exchange, since he is just going for laughs.
Doesn't appear to bother Goldberg too much, I like his dismissive closing comment to the whole exchange:
No, there’s no big message here. No great moral of the story. Slandering the tea partiers as racists is still wrong. And implying that all liberals think Middle Americans are dopes is wrong too. But you know what, it’s not nearly as wrong — because, as I said on O’Reilly’s show, way too many liberal elites look down their noses at “ordinary” Americans. So here’s one more generalization Jon Stewart won’t like: Liberal elites think they’re not only smarter and more sophisticated than the kind of Americans who live in Kansas or Mississippi and like to bowl or eat at Red Lobster – they think they’re … better!
