Why should AA vote Republican? Steele knows there's not a good reason to.

Quote:
“You really don’t have a reason to, to be honest — we haven’t done a very good job of really giving you one. True? True,” Republican National Chairman Michael Steele told 200 DePaul University students Tuesday night.

He also brings up the Southern Strategy...something many on the right try to downplay when confronted with....but even Steele knows the Republican party has actively appealed to white racists..

Quote:
[…] “For the last 40-plus years we had a ‘Southern Strategy’ that alienated many minority voters by focusing on the white male vote in the South. Well, guess what happened in 1992, folks, ‘Bubba’ went back home to the Democratic Party and voted for Bill Clinton.”
Think Progress » RNC Chairman Steele: African-Americans ‘don’t have a reason’ to vote Republican.

Oh, my goodness. Michael gets his groove on and speaks the inconvenient truth, again.

Hard to keep black folks on message once they get off the plantation.

I like the way there is no context to the comments here.... and not shockingly in the Think Progress link.

just a random comment with no context which is typical of the liberal Saul Alinsky crap we get day in and day out on CD from the liberal borg

Just watch...we've been down this road before. When Steele speaks the truth.. the true leaders of the GOP, Limbaugh and Beck, force him to apologize.

I'm not buying it. Steel as usual is talking out of both sides of his mouth. In trouble and now he wants to work both sides.

Steele is speaking the truth because he's on his way out as the RNC chair.
