Racial profiling does exist. I agree with that, but there isn't any legal law ever in the U.S to allow cops to pull over a person based on their race.
Let's see how this plays out. I'm willing to bet that regardless of what you think is going to happen, and even regardless of what the laws says CAN happen, being illegal will never be the primary offense. This will almost entirely effect people who are already being stopped for something else. Now the authorities will be able to ask questions they couldn't ask before AFTER they've already stopped someone. Questions that should have been asked all along.

Exactly! One has to wonder just how many times have illegal aliens been arested for driving without a license, made bail, skipped their court date, and moved on to go about their business.
If employers would stop hiring illegals, demand would dry up and supply would go back to where they belong.
Yeah, and as I stated, it won't happen. You are living in a dream world if you think the state has any interest in punishing employers. You'd have better luck at the federal level since they have less to lose (and that's not happening either since they don't want to lose out on campaign contributions).
In other words, if this was going to happen, it already would have. The state won't do **** against employers that give them tax money, they'll turn a blind eye per the usual and just scapegoat the individuals and waste money and resources on "enforcement".
Passing a law is one thing, enforcing appropriately is another. This is a situation where I'm happy I don't live in Arizona since corrupt cops are being given a lot more power.
Valuable documents? What a crock. I think it cost me about 5.00 to get a copy of mine at city hall last time I needed one. A driver's license renewal or duplicate costs 5x that amount or more. Maybe I should lock my driver's license in a safe....
LOL! Open the dictionary and look up "valuable". There is more than one type of "value". I am not surprised though, that your first reaction was to think of monetary value. And people do keep their BCs locked up. But keep pretending to miss the point. I wouldn't expect anything less.
Anyway, a BC sure seems pretty valuable to the birthers!
Not to mention, identity thieves. But yeah, let's just fold up this document and carry it around everywhere we go (if you look Hispanic, of course).
Guard the damn borders and this bad law would never have been signed.
