Obviously did not read the whole article. It was/is AP who says it's on the table, no quotes at all from Obama. It was Volker, part time WH consultant, who brought it up. White House staff say no VAT. I'd go with the staff.

I'd say Obama's staff does not know crap about their leader. He'll get his VAT through some sneaky Democrat voting and backdoor deals.

There is no VAT, there is not going to be a VAT. But you'll find a reason to not eat those words, you'll just move to something else to whine about which will ultimately turn out to be as much crap like expressing a socialist agenda to school kids.
