Bachmann gets $250k in federal farm subidies.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) — so fond of accusing the Obama administration of foisting socialism on an unwilling America — has apparently been the recipient of about a quarter of million bucks in government handouts.

Liberal site Truthdig links to an Environmental Working Group analysis of federal agricultural subsidies and found that the Bachmann family farm, managed by her father-in-law until his recent death, received $251,000 in farm payments between 1995 and 2006.

Bachmann’s financial disclosure forms indicate her stake in the Wisconsin farm is worth up to $250,000. Her income from the farm has grown from $2,000 a year a few years back to as much as $50,000 for 2008.

Yep, these folks talk out of both sides of their mouths. She and Palin must have been separated at birth.

Actually, I said that because there has already been a thread on this and the article is from Dec. '09. My guess is that it is more liberal humor?

There's been a lot of threads on a lot of topics...so what?

The OP is explaining the hipocrisy of violence advocating Fascist hate mongers like the WELFARE QUEEN Bachmann... Ya, she's against big government...unless SHE is the recipient...and these things should be pointed out....over and over again....

As far as I know, all farms get subsidies. I know they do around here.

Once again, farm subsidies are redistribution of wealth right out of Marx's manifesto,it takes from one group the tax payers and hands it over to the farmers. You {R} and so called conservatives that say you defend the free market,is this the free market?Do not farmers that get gvt hand outs have a huge advantage over those who don't?
Myself,I look over a candidates record with a fine tooth comb if they have voted for subsidy's,bail outs or cash for clunkers they do not get my vote. You can not have it both ways, claiming you are a conservative but voting for redistribution of wealth socialist programs.Bachman and her ilk look like fools to me screaming socialist with one side of their mouth and having there hand out on the other.

Talking Famous tabagger, Michelle Bachmann, is a socialist

Nothing is sillier than a bunch of well-off, underinformed middle class Americans whining about how tough they've got it. Bachmann is the perfect poster girl for this idiocy.

OK other than the facts that she gets over a quarter million in Welfare and her son has a cushy government job, what evidence have you?
