I'll chime in on this, too. Where were you during elementary, middle school, and high school history class? No wonder teabaggers are so gullible.

The founding fathers were revolutionaries who engaged in armed conflict to depose the colonial government. Are you finally admitting that the tea party is looking for an armed conflict to depose the government?

LOL, and Obama giving the intro. Saying we have always been a people who are suspicious of big government. SWEEEETTT.

The Pilgrim's who came over here for their religious freedom and 10% of Americans can trace their ancestry back to 2 of them. That makes 30,000.000 people. SWEEEEEETTT

Also, the pilgrims experienced a mini ice age when they got here so their crops didn't grow. A mini ice age? If Gore was a Pilgrim he would have them all thinking it was caused by the crops they planted and they would have surely died from his propaganda. You mean there has always been mini ice ages and global warming's? SWEEEEETTTTT.

I am going to thoroughly enjoy watching this series.

The only climate change we experience is when AL Gore leaves the town he is in and flies away in his JET and since he stopped talking we have no more HOT AIR!

Must be that global cooling I mean warming I mean climate change..
Anyone want to guess what term is after climate change.

Sorry, but that goes against the constitution. I don't put a lotta stock in those old dudes, personally. Kinda hypocritical, IMHO.
I understand the point you are making, but you are looking at history thru a prism that only was brought about by people like those who founded this country. Try to find any continent or human society before the 1700s where there was no form of slavery.

All I learned--well it was reiterated to me--was that New England and the colonists in Massachusetts started the Revolution and bore the brunt of British oppression.

Liberal ol' New England is the birthplace of our Nation, and not a Teabagger in site these days. Intriguing?

History, when not looked at in contrast and context, cannot be put forth accurately...especially by the America haters so prolific now in our nation. They roam the land with their newfound ideological indoctrination from public education's warehouses, spouting their socialist slogans and agendas. One of them (sadly a relative), brought home an essay one day, in which he wrote proudly on the evils of George Washington. Sad indeed.

Despite all the garbage comments posted in here, the series is off to a great start and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I learned quite a few things. There was also a lot to reflect on in a number of modern situations. If you didn't watch it and just want to speculate on what I mean by that, you'll look like a fool, but go ahead.. that doesn't stop anyone else in here.

"Religious freedom" doesn't mean you are free to impose your religion on anyone else.

The original Tea Party was staged by people who were protesting taxation without representation. The tax was imposed by the English crown.

You, on the other hand, are very well represented, even if you didn't bother to vote. Your current government was elected by a very solid majority of 6-1/2%. That is HUGE in terms of elections.

The current crop of TeaTwits would do well to study their history a bit, but hey - this is America. There is no law on the books preventing dingbats from making noisy fools of themselves.

You have got to be kidding me.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool...
