U.S. Federal District Court judge has ruled that the University of Wyoming must allow William Ayers to speak on campus. Previously UoW had withdrawn its invitation to
Ayers to speak here after receiving numerous threatening emails and statements that major contributors to the Univ. would stop supporting it if they allowed Ayers to speak.
The judge reviewing the case said: "If the First Amendment can't find sanctuary somewhere on a college campus, where can it take refuge?" -- U.S. District Judge William Downes
The university said "it feared for his safety", which is their way of denying someone harmless as Bill Ayers to exercise the freedom of speech.
Pretty pathetic on the part of the Univ. of Wyoming, a redneck bastion of controlled thought if ever one existed on a university (outside of the religious schools like Bob Jones, Oral Roberts, etc..)
I don't think McVeigh can make it, but Scott Roeder might be available. Unlike Ayers we know Roeder's actually guilty of a crime of violence.
huh. you mean ayers actually saying he was, quote, 'guilty as hell,' unquote, and writing a book detailing his bombings, wasn't enough to convince you?
What about Ann Coulter recently having to back out of a speech at some university?
Ann Coulter's security staff canceled the speech, not the police or University. The Police felt they had adequate manpower to control the situation. Her cancellation was probably a publicity stunt.

how odd.
At least Ayer's group had the decency to blow up some of their own members. Too bad they missed a few.
