Hi,

I just saw the Sicko document and there were so many people (both democrats and republicans) in the Congress that were talking about a ''socialized healthcare'' as something absolutely inadmissible. My country is I think a little bit socialised. We pay 1.25 USD for doctors visit and we pay our private insurance. However, the insurance companies here are still willing to pay surgery to everyone no matter if they had yeast infection (as seen in Sicko) or anything like that.

Thanks,

Jay

Socialism is not efficient. The overall productivity suffers as individuals are not rewarded for their labors or creativity.

Because the problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other people's money. American was founded on the principle of self-sufficiency. We are not a Nanny State where we wait for the Government to help us wipe our ass, unlike Europe.

The US is not Europe. America was founded precisely because the people wanted to get AWAY from Europe and create their own country with their laws and way of living.

It's worked out great for us since, unlike Europe which is falling apart at the seams and losing its culture and sense of identity to muslim invaders at a record pace. How's that secularism working out for you?

We don't want to be anything like you. Stop interfering in our way of life and our politics.

For starters our country was not founded on the premise of a socialist society, we have that bothersome little piece of paper called the CONSTITUTION!

The US is already socialist to a great extent. A lot of Americans are just oblivious to this fact because they've been fed propaganda since any early age.

Bascailly socailism is a centrally controlled type of governemnt. Both the nazi regie and the russian regime were centralized A dictatorship is pretty much the same really except they name one person to control and pass on that control. Once this type gets stated what peoploe fear is that control doesn't just evaporate. Whe you look at how concerned the fonders where with what to do with presidents as they leave office you see amraian thinking. Also the ineffciency. I think people alos need to look at what drives innovation. The US does 70% of medical and drug research accordig to studies. Socialzied medcaine wil bring that way down in my opinion because of risk factor'reward. That is goign to have a affect all over the world IMO.Our government is really a confedertion of states with supposed a limted central governament. The constitution states the deral role then say the sates control all other funtions. Once the federal governamnt takes control its almost imposible to cange which is what so many fear;the concentration of power which is i mnay opinions bad and even dangerous to the welfare of the whole. All it takes is for the leadership to be bad as we have seen so much in history.

Socialism has some good aspects and bad ones. Its the old battle between Collectivism and Individualism. And both of them balance each other out pretty well in the U.S.

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, all the roads the government built, public education, war on drugs, and USPS are perfect examples of socialism. Whether you agree with them or not is another debate. However these programs are perfect proof of socialism in the U.S and most of them have been around a while.

I don't believe Yanks are "afraid" of socialism per se. A more appropriate term might be "opposed to" or perhaps "reject". The reason Americans are "opposed to" or "reject" socilism is simple - it is a failed system that ignorres the fundamental characteristics of human nature, and substitutes some sort of altruistic personality in its stead.

It is based on faulty premesii, and, as we have all witnessed, fails universally and miserably.

Talking The Camel is Socialism... kick it out before it destroys the tent!

"The problem with Socialism is Socialism.
The problem with Capitalism is Capitalists" - attributed to William F. Buckley

"The problem with Socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other peoples money" - attributed to Margaret Thatcher

The Camel (Socialism) needs to be kicked out of the tent!
