when I get to know people I love hearing about their husband/wife.. or their kids.. stories.. I think its what we do as humans in sharing our humanity. Which is why I can't understand someone being offended by a person who is gay discussing their relationships and love lives. We all do it.. if you don't.. You probably don't have any friends good friends in your life. I mean how can you call someone a friend if they don't know anything about you?

You know that even if she told someone privately and didn't want the world to know, as soon as paparazzi finds out it's in the "news" anyway. That's how it goes with anyone even mildly famous.
I think the whole celebrity-paparazzi stuff that America constantly bombards me with is just bs, but I find it telling that you single out the gays from the menagerie.

Imo, you are absolutely correct. I thought that very thing when I first heard the story. There was all this publicity about a "country star coming out" . . . she's hardly a "country star", never was.
Chely Wright is a washed-up one-hit wonder, period.
She said she sacrificed everything for the music . . . yeah, right. How melodramatic. She made the claim that it was a remark made by John Rich that drove her to almost kill herself, but then says it was choosing music over her long-time partner. And if I'm not mistaken, when all this was going on, being gay was acceptable to a larger segment of society, not the great taboo she claims. She is just exaggerating the whole thing to make herself look like a victim of the very industry that gave her even one moment's notice. That's pretty low, if you ask me.
She's a has-been who wants to be an "is" . . . and she evidently believes that jumping on the trendy lesbian bandwagon and telling all the (ick) details is the way to do it.
