I voted through the 50s, well 56 and the 60s for nothing but Dems because they were Dems but then they nominated an admitted socialist, George McGovern and when the party left me they just didn't deserve my vote any more. I haven't been close to a Dem since that year, 1972.
Strange....strange that someone would continue to teach in a venue that they clearly have no like/love for & then watch on as their significant other does the same thing. Wouldn't you or both of you get out of that situation? Instead, come on here & warble about how awful it was & how you have to wait until your significant other is out of it before you can run out w/both barrels blazing. That's just odd to me.
For me, brainwashing means that you take whatever is fed to you, no questions asked. It means that you believe any & everything that your "side" is giving you. It means that you have a distinct paranoia, paranoia to the extreme that hiding in a bunker & surrounding yourself w/ammunition seems a likely outcome. It means extreme distrust in any person who has an opposing viewpoint. Distrust to the point that you would label them a dictator or fascist or communist or whatever other negative word you could label someone with who doesn't immediately mold to your liking.
I've seen a lot of that type of behavior going on lately & I don't know if it's brainwashing or just stupendous idiocy..whatever it is, it's extremely distasteful & closely related to mental ineptitude.
I say it is very possible and that in the number of decades since the attempt was begun in this country it is very, very possible. But, with that said......I have not cared for, or voted for ANY Republican POTUS since Reagan, (NWO-supporters (Bush SR/GW), RW-radical, evangelical, hypocritical politicians) the GOP has succuumbed to electing, since Reagan.
AND......Lord knows Nixon, back in '72....was up to mischief that would scar the GOP for a long time after his "departure" from the Oval office.
Couldn't like Clinton either.....so no vote for him either.
NO Confidence......has been my voting record for quite a while now and that's what I have!
NONE.
BUT.....There's NO doubt in my mind that we haven't had a single Democrat POTUS worth a crap since perhaps, JFK......and what we have finally sunk to NOW, under these Lefties......is an absolute atrocity and a complete disgrace to everything America EVER stood for, IMHO!
There's little doubt left anymore that the road we are now on, IMO.......will only lead to some form of serious conflict, if some form of diversive action isn't taken.....or it will all go global fairly rapidly....and it sure won't be very pretty when it goes into full force, whatever exactly "it" is.....we are heading for.
It appears the ball is in motion and pickin up speed with this pathetic scenario that some will surely, disagree with because they are either a part of the process necessary for its success and willing participants......or, they are completely blinded by a faith they have likely had most of their lifetime.....and have NO fear now that "they" are in control.
Far too many are now gullible enough to be complicit to its success, whether they know it or not.
Either way.....they will NEVER admit they are wrong when debating with anyone remotely to the RIGHT of them.
Remember......it is the RIGHTIES that they truly see as being brainwashed so any sensible or logical debate with them and their pre-conceived notions makes it practically impossible.

You should watch Beck these days to learn a bit about government and politics since he has been explaining all those things the last two days. So much sense and you people think he was crying and laughing and none of that took place either day. I haven't been able to catch him at broadcast time but managed to find a better site to see his whole show on while I was suspended from this place.
Let me promise you that I did not get that link from Beck. In fact, I saw it on a thread right here at C-D and not one person talked about it so I thought it might be good to let more of you see it. You did watch it, didn't you? No.
Well I didn't think so.
I think that the Russian doing the talking in that video was trying to explain that what the KGB set out to do was to use the left and through them the Dem party and that since we were in stage 3 of the 4 stages in 1985 we must be about all the way now. I see those in power today as the end of the whole thing and almost think I will cheer when they get what is coming to them when the government goes global with all the other socialists. Coming to them means a bullet in the back of the head.
Yes, we are headed that direction and it is so sad that it has to be that way.
