Seems that again and again one of the criticisms about Obama is that he is arrogant. I think that there are certainly valid criticisms that one could make of our president that are valid-- But the arrogance criticism, I think, is based on race. It's code for saying "uppity n****r."
The dictionary definition of arrogance is: exaggerating or disposed to exaggerate one's own worth or importance often by an overbearing manner
Being the most powerful man in the world, is it really possible to exaggerate one's own worth or importance? And if it is, how does Obama do so more than previous presidents? Examples? Wouldn't Sarah Palin-- a half term governor from the lowest population state and failed vp candidate be a better example of arrogance?
Why are powerful blacks considered arrogant? This criticism has been made against Oprah, Bernie Shaw, Cornell West, Magic Johnson and other prominent blacks. Discuss.
Not sure I agree with either of your points. Every president has been called arrogant, yes... But not to the degree or with the ferocity that the claim is laid to Obama.
Secondly, I think its reductionistic to examine the Obama presidency without looking at the obvious factor of race. Doing doesn't reduce the mans stature at all. Especially when so much of the reaction too him has been based on race alone.
Have you been making tea party signs? You've got the right..uhh.. "style."
are you trying to label me? I am an American. YOU LIKE OBAMA, ARE YOU ON WELLFARE? you want the government to give you evryone elses money so you dont have to work
