It's amazing that these proud Mexicans who can tolerate no flag but their own country's flag make such a fuss when someone suggests they be returned home to their beloved country. The minute someone wants to help them find their way home, they'll start insisting that Mexico is worse than hell on earth. Hypocrits.
Yes it is quite the paradox. However, I think this a rather isolated instance.
Why has nobody mentioned the Mexicans running around in Arizona with American flags draped around their shoulders just as they do with the Mexican flag at their big rallies? It is against flag etiquette to "wear" the flag and that is essentially what those kids were doing.
I am for the boys who got in trouble but I have always been at least miffed at people wearing the flag since it is to be flown only. Now it is time to stop allowing those Mexicans to demonstrate with their national flags in the US. Send them home with their flags attached.
Well, I definitely take this as a sign that racial tensions are getting worse. Good point, I don't think any Irish would get upset if you wore an American flag on St Patrick's Day. But if you wear it on Cinco de Mayo, then it is an implied insult to Mexicans.
BTW, I predicted all of this years ago. I predicted that when the economy got bad, people would look around for scapegoats and the illegal immigrants would be a handy group to blame.
I'm not saying I'm pro-illegal. In fact, I'm all for a border fence and deportation! But, you can't blame all of the problems of society and the economy on illegals. It's also a good diversion from the bad economy for the politicians to get you to focus on.
Why am I not surprised this happened in California?
I would love to have a few words with Ms. Nunez.
