Oh- but of course we could never tell the Mexicans not to wear the Mexican flag or it's colors on their shirts because that would be discriminatory and racist.

It's clear that the students only wore the American flag attire to cause problems. They picked the one day that it would be very likely to lead to confrontation and possible violence to act like jingoistic jerkoffs. IMO, the school handled this situation perfectly.

It is one thing to be proud of your country and the American flag. It is something much different to use the display of the flag as a device to sitr up trouble for no reason.

Sad commentary on this country that wearing the Stars and Stripes could ever be considered stirring up trouble - no matter what the date on the calendar.

So how are they being jingoistic within their own country? The "jerkoffs" are the students with loyalties to a foreign nation, even if it is the one they properly belong in, while reaping the benefits of US society. Let them stop sucking on Uncle Sam's teat while screaming how much they hate the US! The school officials are pathetic and vile for siding against students showing patriotism towards their own country. The ones stirring up trouble were those in red, white and green that day. As was stated above, "Papers Please!"

The sad commentary is that it is now considered by some to be patriotic to provoke a confrontation. What these kids did is akin to wearing a Confederate flag shirt on MLK day.

Was wearing Mexican colored attair and celebrating a national holiday of a country you freed from while reaping benefits of another country confrontational considering the immigration debate?

How do we know that Mexican students were really "upset"?

That could have been a BS story the ASSistant principal made up to create a stir. The concern was that the presence of the t-shirts could lead to fights on school grounds.

This does not sound like it came from the students but from the campus administration, but of course, white people are the new "victims of discrimination" - boo hoo!!!!

Surely the Mexicans doing the same thing, with their flag, on our public streets at rallies against any kind of immigration control don't have the same thing in mind. Yep, PC calls for us to allow them to play their game but our people can't return the favor. I would like to see those kids to see if they are just trouble makers or a bit more patriotic than many of the PC persuasion.
