Well, of course you would. Doesn't say what you want to hear.

HAHA! Do you actually KNOW what "Conservative" means in Europe?? NO! Nancy Pelosi would be a conservative over there...

If you had bothered to actually read the thread, you would know the answer to that.

Don't have to. Your first post already tells me what you think and how you view this and it's just false! They will probably now laugh at you... lol

You don't know what I want to hear.

I am finding the whole process fascinating. But then, I'm not looking at it through the lens of the idealogical warrior. Right now, there are no certainties and the electorate has not given any clear guidance by returning a hung parliament. Everything is to play for. It is most interesting.

The spin from the Left on this defeat of Labor is hilarious.

UK Liberal Democrats mull pact with Conservatives - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100508/ap_on_bi_ge/eu_britain_election - broken link)

LONDON – Britain's center-left Liberal Democrats debated on Saturday whether to resolve an undecisive election by joining the Conservative party in an unlikely right-wing/center-left coalition that would share common ground on economic policy but split over electoral reform and key issues in foreign affairs.
Right wing? You mean they call the Tories RW over there?

Cameron and Clegg share views on the economy and could commit to a tough program of spending cuts aimed at reducing Britain's record 153 billion-pound ($236 billion) deficit.
Spending cuts?? What? From UK Conservatives? I thought they were far leftists, like Pelosi?

Hilarious!!

Yes they are right wing, but relatively left by US standards, at least on social policy. The US has no real left.

All the main parties have proposed spending cuts btw, the tories are not unusual on this. The difference is they mainly want to cut taxes for the rich, whereas the 'left' are only proposing cuts to deal with the defecit.

There is a minor swing to the right in the UK at the moment, but thats due to disillusionment with Labour and the economy. Still the majority voted for the 'left', Our voting system just doesn't reflect this in the number of seats allocated to each party.

If our voting system was fair the conservatives would have 234 seats, Labour 188/189 seats and the Liberals 149/150 seats. The remainder divided between the smaller parties.

Worth mentioning that, in the English local authority elections which were held at the same time, Labour made a net gain of 420 seats. It is far too simplistic to paint these elections as left versus right. The reality is much more complex.

I wonder if the OP knows the difference between Conservatives of the USA and the Conservatives of the UK.
