We are definately in a world of hurt. Your right about going local, everyone needs to work on getting the Federal Government out of their lives. Each State taking control of the Federal money, take care of their residents and if there is any left---send off to the Federal government to do what their job description as the Constitution states. It would make them budget the money properly and if they can't seem to do it--no more money. The States could all fight to stop the Federal government from taxing us to death to support their abuse.

Voting in real people who care about this country is the key. It has to start local to make a difference. I don't have all the answers but I'm not giving up on America.

And I stand proud here in Texas for what our Governor does.
He does not put up with the Fed trying to horn their way into state/local politics and has said "NO" to Fed bribes of "free money" which would insist that Texas change their state laws permanently (eg...the unemployment part of the stimulus that would require the state to make part time workers eligible for unemployment a permanent item)

Come November, I have high hopes of Wisconsin voting in ppl who care about the state and it's ppl. Right now we are being over run by progressive democrats in office. This has been where my family came to over 100 years ago and if we can't get this progressive mentality out of office. I would willingly move out of it and my children and their new families to follow. This is not the life that I envisioned for myself or my children.

I understand what you're saying .. but there seems to be no true American patriotic choices in most elections these days.

As a 2nd amendment advocate in your neck of the woods, Sensenbrenner would seem to be a good choice except .. he's Mr. Patriot Act .. Mr. National ID, amongst other equally tyrannical positions.

It seems you all face (as do most of us) the old ... heads they win, tails you lose scenario.
