Because Obama haters do the Obama hating and Bush haters do the Bush hating. It has nothing to do with the fact that the policy is the same regardless of who is in the white house.
But I'm not against this policy. was not against with bush am not against or hate Obama for this policy. So the fact the policy is the same should bring the same people that agreed wit ht he policy with bush to agree now.
People who do not support Obamas health care does not mean we cant support policies we agree with.
Which goes back to what i asked. for those that opposed this policy because Bush supported it, are very silent on this Policy when obama supports it.
So is it the left that can not look at policy and only looks at the person?
Did you ever think that maybe Obama might have just FOLLOWED THE ADVICE of his military commanders?
Bush on the other hand ... gave (Ex CEO Dick Cheney's) Halliburton no-bid contracts right from the start of the Iraq War .... and that is a HUGE DIFFERENCE !!!
Republicans want so bad to compare Obama to Bush ... it's pathetic!
Clinton was giving no bid contracts to Halliburton to support our efforts in places like Bosnia, so all Bush did was follow the same path as Clinton, and 0bama is following the same path as his two predecessors. Funny how when Bush uses Halliburton its a "HUGE DIFFERENCE !!!" but when Clinton and 0bama use Halliburton.... it's a sensible decision.
But I'm not against this policy. was not against with bush am not against or hate Obama for this policy. So the fact the policy is the same should bring the same people that agreed wit ht he policy with bush to agree now.
Well, you know it won't, so why even ask? Why did the "R"s here support auto bail outs and TARPs etc under Bush, but oppose them under Obama? Don't you wonder about that? Same diff.
Perhaps he's finding out (as I have posted before) that Haliburton is a unique company; nobody does what they do (well almost). Haliburton has been in the oilfield services business for many, many years. They have built much of the equipment that is in use. They know it better than anyone else.
Would you rather take your Chevy to a Ford dealer to get it fixed? I think not.
That's what it's all about.
I know about Haliburton. My brother-in-law once worked for them (locally), and when I was in the "oil patch" (a small company in San Diego that built underwater TV systems and remote controlled vehicles for the offshore oil and commercial diving industries), Haliburton Services was one of our customers.
This story is no surprise to me.
The story is no surprise to any of us with an understanding of what Haliburton is. You are exactly right.
But Obama is THE ONE. He has majic powers to create companies out of thin air that can do what Haliburton does but do it cheeper and not try to gain complete control of the entire world in the process.

Never said that now, did I? I just marvel at the hypocrisy of those who supported the pissant little cowboy's policies, like sending jobs overseas being good for our economy while at the same time whining about giving jobs to Americans, regardless of cost. Care to come down off the fence anytime soon? And do I need to tell you what you can do with your baseless, ASININE accusations of hating Americans?
BTW, I didn't catch your answer on just how pro-union you are?
The government, under obama, awarded a no bid contract to Hall/KBR and we have nary a peep from the leftists who were frothing mad when the Bush administration did the same.
Spot on!
If anything, after the scandals suggesting Halliburton or KBR were guilty of over charges, you would think the bids would be up for grabs, but the 0bama administration decided to stick with awarding no-bid contracts to Halliburton.
I post the links, and the frustration or rage is not aimed at 0bama, its aimed at me, or redirected back on Bush/Cheney.
Halliburton is the biggest contractor in Iraq, they provide services that were previously done by military personnel. The Army and the Obama administration had no choice in the matter. The change in contractors would be a huge logistics problem for them. Give it a rest, it was the Bush/Cheney administration that brought them there is the first place, partially privatizing the military forces.
LOL!
see above, Liberals everywhere understand that Obama giving a no-bid to the evil Halliburton is GEORGE BUSH'S FAULT!
I think it's just as wrong under Obama as it was under Bush.
Care to direct us to the posts showing your outrage when Bush was sending out all those no bid contracts?
That is not the point of this exercise. This thread is just to expose the kool-aid drinkers from those who actually have a mind of their own and a set of principles to guide them.
