I would like to see a few Navy Air Craft Carriers, a few dozen other ships, every Coast Guard ship...period, and local National Guard called in.

21 day later, this should be treated like a huricane or earthquake.

Proper safety equipment costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, not just a few dollars so yes its feasible that BP cut corners to save a couple hundred grand.

So you think BP was like "hey lets buy this crappy safety equipment that doesn't work!"

Yeah that makes a lot of sense.

Please keep avoiding the FACTS....it gives you something to argue about...BP was negligent....do you REALLY think this is the first time this company, and other companies (like those that own mines), have cut corners on safety?!?!? Then you are quite naive...it's done all the time...I've seen it in companies I have worked for where safety is a low priority especially if money is involved.

""""End of argument about CEO's going to jail. Stop drinking kool-aid.
Sorry to offend you with the thought that your Gods go to jail for their horrible negligence that killed 11 human beings and is destroying the economy of many Americans.......but I'll let you worship at their altar and pat them on the back for "EARNING" their bloated income at the expense of others.

But don't worry, they will suffer no consequences for their heinous actions....there's too many in this country who worship(and are afraid of) these mega-wealthy monsters...they're safe...

They will probably even profit from it as they will use it an an excuse to raise the price of gas at the pump....so pay it happily knowing you're supporting your gods.

Are you being sarcastic?

How would a few aircraft carriers and dozens of other ships actually do to help? Bomb the ocean?

I remember the years when the reason for toning down our oil usage and creating green energy sources was because we were running out of oil.

Well, maybe not. Looks like there is plenty of oil available to gather and use as we see fit.

Apparently the problem is gathering the oil and polluting our waters is not a good way to use it.

Ya think??

My general point is that oil is plentiful and is not running out.

The Russian's used Nukes to cap off their run a way wells...4 times...worked 3 of them. Etherway , the problem is way too large now to leave it up to BP to fix. The Military, Navy, should get in the mix...wait and see...I give BP one more week...then all hell is going to break loose , the world is watching.
