This thread title reminded of an article Lloyd Marcus wrote about ending hyphenating in America - re: African-American, Asian-American, etc.

An Asian man with his wife and 4 children approached Marcus at a Tea Party event, then saying in broken English, “Me no Asian-American, me AMERICAN!”

Lloyd Marcus » Blog Archive » Internationally Known Black American Launches Campaign to End the Hyphenating of America.

Why aren't they darlings of the left? Maybe they believe in personal responsibility.

These positives that people keep talking about are basically keeping quiet, kowtowing to white people, and the like. Being viewed as decent and intelligent means squat if it is equated to being weak. It's no wonder why some would trade being viewed as smart for being respected or even feared.

Because they are NOT parasites, like the others.

not sure what planet East Chicago is on but in the USA asians are tops in education, income, health and bottom in things like infant mortality and murder.

white people generally respect asians because they're better at the game we call america than white people are.

After living in the SF BayArea for many years amongst numerous Asians, I can honestly say they are no different than any other group of immigrants. There are dumb low-class Asians who act like gangstas and there are smart, high class Asians who are CEO material.

Oh and BTW, out here they are the darlings of the left.

Because many American Asians are conservative.

No, there is a reason that those who have lived under dictators don't tend to vote liberal. It is too much like where they are from, and they don't want to live that again. I'm not saying that liberals are dictators, but they see it as trending that way. I've known many people who previously lived under dictators and horrible governments, and this is always the reasoning given.
