Legendary CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite allegedly collaborated with anti-Vietnam War activists in the 1960s, going so far as to offer advice on how to raise the public profile of protests and even pledging CBS News resources to help pull off events, according to FBI documents obtained by Yahoo! News.

I saw that the other day. Of course Cronkite was a traitor. He should have been hung along with Hanoi Jane. Perhaps when the nation loses the fog of liberalism, such treasonous actions will actually be punished.

I have to take a pass on this one. Since "redacted" isn't identified and there isn't any proof at all other than "redacted's" word, I'm not buying it. They can't even prove what Muskie did.

Everyone around then knew that The White House had an enemies list and that the job of the FBI was to find and/or make up dirt pertaining to those on those lists.

And to compare Uncle Walter to Jane the traitor??? She gave aid and comfort to the enemy in person and taunted our POW's. She's pretty much in a league of her own.

Cronkite doesn't have to have an FBI file to identify his dishonesty. He revealed his treachery each night to millions in the 1960s.

Well everyone's memories are different.

But I have to go with my Father, a WWII vet who hated commies and radicals. He watched Cronkite every night. If he had suspected Walter was a traitor, it would have been good bye Walter-hello Chet and David.

My father and my uncles are ww2 vets as well who watched Cronkite. Just because Walter fooled them does not make his treasonous actions right.

Jane Fonda's behavior was irresponsible and juvenile (given that it was motivated by her rebellion against her father, the "symbol of America" on screen, whom she hated) but it didn't rise to the level of treason.

Treason is the only crime defined in the Constitution, and it is extremely difficult to get a conviction for treason in the US. One can count the number of successful treason prosecutions in US history on one's hand. Many of the people popularly believed to have been convicted of treason were convicted of espionage or terrorism charges.

While Jane's actions may have not met the criteria set forth in the Constitution of what treason is, it was harldy just irresponsible. She already rebelled against Daddy with Barbarella. She was on tv laughing and talking with the people that were killing our soldiers. Not an easy thing to watch when you've lost family and friends. Ask the POW's she talked their opinion of her. Or my husband, who is a Viet Nam vet. Whether the war was right or wrong is immaterial. For a generation of servicemen she will always be Hanoi Jane. There were alternative ways she could have expessed her opposition to the war. Others seem to find a way without a "meet and greet" with the enemy.

At the time Hanoi Jane went to entertain the communist, she was 34/35 depending on the month she went there. She was well beyond an irresponsible youth age. Not only did she privide aid and comfort to the enemy, she called returning POWs liars when they reported the torture they endured. My dad use to say Kronkite was Communist's biggest cheerleader on TV.

Yeah, reporting the news while the names on the recently dead soldiers is treachery.
Yet Faux news is truth. Hahahahaha.

Got any proof that what Cronkite said was not true.
Proof.
