We lose it ( money),at least let's use it ( military)...
Having a "strong" military and an idiot for a president is like having a 2 year old with a hammer. How's that Bush invasion of Iraq worked out?

Neocons who once wanted to level Iraq are now attacking the President for not getting the Hell out of Dodge.

At least that two year old could probably hit the nail on the head....doubt if the current president could.

We need to continue to support our troops at the same time start to reduce their workload by bringing them back home and close a good number of our over seas bases.

There is room for a downsizing, but as has been mentioned, the funds need to be there to keep our current equipment in good shape, replace things as needed, provide the troops financially, with good healthcare and good state side bases.

Of course we could. If I were president, we would be out of both countries before you could say "Osama bin Laden has Farty Pants."

I'd cut it by about 75%.

And let me guess, you also see yourself as a fiscal conservative. Nearly half of world's total expenditure is a joke, more so for a country with massive debt problem. But, I guess, it is an American dream to go into debt to own and maintain the most expensive car and house in the neighborhood, no longer to just keeping up with the Joneses.

Well the poll is pretty clear.

I urge everyone who thinks the military should be downsized, to write their congressmen and women, and say just that.

Right now, all they are hearing about is immigration, and the budget. If you really want to reduce our expenses, lets decrease the size of the military.

[QUOTE[/quote]I think it would be great to bring everybody home, downsize, and become an isolationist country. But it aint happening, folks. The wacky lefts think it will happen, but anybody with any knowledge of world politics knows it's impossible. Besides, the next terrorist attack we get hit with the nutty left will be screaming for more military and more ammo.
Just as they were bawling about Arizona racial profiling a few weeks ago.
That is, until our Times Square car bomber got picked up using those tactics
