The more I watch Beck the more convinced I am that he is pulling our collective legs.

Being a comedian makes someone less than credible? Really?
Some of the most pointed and accurate observations have come from 'comedians' aka 'satirists.'
A few familiar ones:
Benjamin Franklin
Mark Twain
Will Rogers
Mark Russell
George Carlin
Stephen Colbert...

"A man only learns in two ways, one by reading, and the other by association with smarter people."

So, thank you.

Will Rogers Quotes

Ben franklin was a printer, publisher, diplomat not so much a comedian.

Mark Twain had a killer stand up routine.

Ditto Will Rogers.

Carlin was a burn out.

Colbert is a fool.

So yup being a comedian pretty much makes their observations less credible.

So keep reading and associating with me and you will go places.

Ah so blinded by it you can't see it. Yale, believe it or not graduates it's share of not so bright people. So now you are changing the parameters OK that kinda of changes your argument doesn't it?

Having gone through College and obtaining an advanced degree, I can assure Universities are not always the best places to find the brightest people. But this is a stark reminder of the real attitudes of the left. Regular folks are too stupid to take care of themselves so we need take care of them. Elitism is nothing to be proud of.

And if you were as intelligent as you apparently think you are, you would not boil this down to a 'left vs right' argument.

There are elitists on the right as well, but I guess that's okay since they belong to your group, correct?

Any examples of elitism on the right would be appreciated and also denounced by me. However it is the guiding principle of the left. They prefer to take peoples wealth, they prefer bigger government because they think they are smarter than everyone else and without them (the government) telling us what to do we would make poor decisions. It is axiomatic that Republicans prefer smaller government and Dems prefer bigger government.

Ah, but being on the 'left' and being a Dem doesn't go hand in hand. I'm a left leaning Libertarian. Never been a 'Democrat'. I also find it interesting that the 'Right' you're so proud of seems to want the government to get involved in peoples lives when it suits them...ya know, trying to ban gay marriage, DADT, banning abortions etc etc.

Republicans absolutely DO NOT want 'smaller' government, so I have no idea what you're talking about there. It's a talking point and nothing more.
