Good point & I totally agree. In-fact by doing a lot of reading, I've discovered that there once was a very prominent\ respected Republican party in California w/ a long history of good leadership. But governors like Reagan & Wilson would be considered "flaming liberals" in today's GOP. How did that happen? I only wish the old Republican party would take over again.

What's ironic is that no Republican governor has been an ideologue & governed the state quite effectively. The old days seemed much better than current times. I really like Schwarzenegger [always have] and get upset when people call him names. He's only trying to do his job the best he can in a very difficult state to govern.

It's impossible to govern. Both my wife and I worked legislation and politics there for a combined 40 years and it's just not possible, given today's completely partisan politics. Why anyone would want to even think about it is beyond us, but for their need for what they think is power. It isn't!
