The loon factor is so high in this thread that I've erased what I was going to post because it would be a waste of time. It's all-too-obvious.
I hope you folks don't lie awake at night, thinking up these childish and illogical gotchas. The end product is nowhere near good enough to justify much lost time.
Did your daughters have to provide their Social Security number,proof of citizenship,etc BEFORE being allowed to go to the rally?
Did all the other 100,000 people have to do that?
Think about this,how could a crowd be screened beforehand when an event is open to anyone?
And again,why is it okay to ask the students for proof of citizenship?
They were not going to be within arm's reach of Obama.
The students are undergoing background checks, to be within an arm's reach of Obama. I don't believe there is anything in US law that says they have to be citizens, either, to be in that close of proximity to the president.
