The real news is that already notorious photo: the president of Brazil, our largest ally in Latin America, and the prime minister of Turkey, for more than half a century the Muslim anchor of NATO, raising hands together with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the most virulently anti-American leader in the world.

That picture -- a defiant, triumphant take-that-Uncle-Sam -- is a crushing verdict on the Obama foreign policy. It demonstrates how rising powers, traditional American allies, having watched this administration in action, have decided that there's no cost in lining up with America's enemies and no profit in lining up with a U.S. president given to apologies and appeasement.
Yep, the apology tour around the world set the stage and the harvest has begun.

Obama has groveled and begged before Iran, hoping against hope that they would "unclench" the fist. Not even the SILENCE of this administration while democracy protesters were murdered on the street could make a dent.

Great piece by Krauthammer, as he goes item by item, country by country, detailing exactly how weak and ineffectual obama's foreign policy is.

Obama was also bullied and disrespected by Mexican President Calderon who then also insulted America. Can you say, wimp? Had Obama seen that little mouse he would have been up on a chair calling for Michele to kill it.

It is chilling, as this guy is Jimmy Carter II- terrible economy, weak foriegn policy, and national despair.

When will the US be cured of socialism?

Just another lame attempt at substituting opinion for fact.

Since when are nations prohibited from cozying up with scumbags if they see some advantage?

IF you're going to allege they are perhaps you'd care to explain things like the US dealings with such charmers as Marcos, The Shah, Pinochet, and your own pissant little cowboy's negotiations with the mass murder of Americans sponsor Moammar Kadafi?

Or would that require a few too many facts for your taste?

Interesting that the RW nuts only answer to a problem, is "to kill it".

Maybe the world is getting sick of the Republican neocon plan for domination as described in their bible the "New American Century". Since WW2 we have been crony capitalism's world bully with wars ranging from Korea to Vietnam to the farce in Grenada and the tragedies of Iraq and Afghanistan. The American people gave their sons and daughters to these wars and never got a dime in return. All we got was the scars and the funerals.

The international money centers and their frequently feudal owners (Saudi Kings) got millions in payments and plunder while never paying any share of the cost. The victims of this “American” order are fed up and are objecting. They should be objecting. We robbed them and they finally noticed. We have not been the nice guys of the world for the last hundred years. Now we are about to pay the price. While we wasted our wealth keeping a few exploiters secure, the rest of the world developed their own industrial might and are about to compete for the resources we though we “owned” but were only stealing.

Brazilian industrial capacity, Turkish leadership and Iranian oil together make an opponent as formidable as China. We are in for a fight that cannot be won but can be avoided to the benefit of everyone but our pampered international plutocrats.

Unfortunately, this sort of negotiation and strategizing actually arent as simple as cartoonish editorials would have you believe.

The Krauthammer editorial is a typical example of what this is talking about:

Gee-

"Nation building" was the plan of FDR and Truman and that policy has continued to this day.

I am strongly opposed to funding other nations or "nation building". Most conservatives are also opposed to this.

I want a smaller federal budget, which means less and smaller social programs and a smaller military.
